Summer Dreams

Our summer has begun but according to Harrison's calendar we are already planned out through June with VBS, beach trip, swim lessons, birthday parties, and cousins visiting. I know we have many years, but I want I show these kids the world! There are so many things on my "summer to do list" I just need more time as money! Doesn't everyone? They are so inquisitive and curious about everything, it's a fun(and exhausting!!) time right now. These are just some pics from my phone... Addy came to stay with us last Friday, she and Saylor are 5 weeks apart and she is a walker....it didn't rub off! We had watermelon at Nanny and Pops, made a pillow path (if you fell off you were in the lava) had our first pigtails and took a nap with daddy ❤.

K-3 Complete!

Harrison and Hudson had their last day in K-3 this week. We are so grateful, thankful, and blessed that they had such an amazing first year of school. They went 5 half-days a week and were in separate classes. We can not believe all the things they have learned this year. (Planets, Continents, Alphabet letters and sounds, Consonants and Vowels, Colors and Numbers in 4 different languages etc) they certainly taught us a few things. It was neat to see the boys grow on more independent and really form their different personalities...

Harrison:
NEEDS a schedule and will ask for it
 Likes to have a buddy
Wants to find out why and how things are the way they are
Will perform any song and dance on cue and will make up one if you ask!

Hudson:
 Goes with the flow
Is fine by himself and likes to work alone or help the teacher
 Likes to be challenged
Loves the outdoors and would rather be outside any day

Harrison and his teacher Mrs.Mary Ann, it was a match made in heaven! She understands Harrison and fostered his schedule needing and question asking mind

His Asst.Teacher Mrs.Elizabeth!

Hudson's Asst.Teacher, Mrs.Jenny

Hudson and his teacher Mrs.Panda, she really helped him become more independent and would give him extra things to keep him challenged, I'm in a close tie with this special lady he loves her a lot!

Hudson riding Saylor on his 4-wheeler for the first time.

Their first day of k-3 :(
Their teachers made them a DVD of the pictures they took all year to music and I felt like they were graduating and moving out next week when I watched it, whew Father Time please slow down! Looking ahead to K-4!

Creature Report

Ever watch Octonauts? That's a favorite at my house right now so I'm going to do a creature report on Saylor! She went to her 1 year check-up today, I'm pleased to report she is now showing up on the growth chart for weight (for the first time!)
26 lbs (95th)
30 inches (75th)

She had to go back to the ENT this week to get her tube unplugged (I think she was traumatized) so now everything checked out just fine! She says "mama" "dada" "hey!" "egg" and can bark like Charlie. She is not walking but likes to push her stroller around so maybe it won't be long?? She is sleeping all night (now that ears are fixed) I usually have to wake her to take the boys to school and has two long naps during the day. She will eat almost anything she can pick up and as of today is off the bottle!

Cheese balls

I let Hudson twist my arm at SAMs to buy this jumbo jar of cheese balls. I thought we would never finish it and that they would be stale half way through from keeping them so long.... I was so wrong. We eat them ALL day long and it's too big to fit in the pantry so we keep it in the counter .... Which makes it do easy just to pass and grab a few! They are so good and oh so bad! This is the last time I'm buying this!! ;)

May Day 2012

St.John's has their May Day program every year on the first Friday evening in May on the front lawn of the school. This year the theme was Broadway. Each boys' class did two songs, it was such a great show and they end it with the 6th grade class weaving the May Pole. Hudson and Harrison had their first after-school company that day too.
Harrison, Christopher, Brody and Hudson before May Day.

Had to get a silly pic

 K-3, K-4 and K-5

Harrison and Christopher watching the May Pole

Hudson with Pawpaw and Mawmaw, he was proud. They were all so cute and I was surprised at what a turnout there was, afterwards they jumped and slid in all the blow up slides and jumpers and had a corndog and lemonade.

Easter Pics

Now that I have rekindled my love with Blogger I have some catching up to do. Here are some pics from Easter weekend!
Granny Shaw running her video camera...it is quite large compared to the new ones, she has always been pretty savvy about her gadgets!

 The "Brown" kids and Lolli

All the kids while we hid eggs outside

Saylor didn't like to touch the grass so this was her Easter pose!! Haha

The Pierce kids on Easter, everyone coordinated accidentally.

Joel got his 4-wheeler back from the shop and the boys have been riding everyday since!

Saylor turns 1!

Our Sunshine turned 1 on May 3rd! We had a morning party for her with all her friends and family. Her theme was "You are my sunshine" so everything had to be yellow! It was bright and cheery. She got a lot of great things and the boys and bigger kids played hard.  She was scared (shy?) when it was time for her smash cake and then to make matters worse she grabbed the candle after we blew it out and that made her cry more , the big kids broke the pinata, played on the little 4-wheelers, trampoline and playhouse and the babies played in the kiddie pool with all the balls. We were so grateful for everyone that came to celebrate!

Saylor girl,
You really are our SUNSHINE and you light up every room you crawl into. At night when I'm tucking in the boys they wait to here your hand slapping the ground as you crawl all the way over to their room to get a kiss and wave night-night. You adore your big brothers and they are smitten with you. You seem to love dogs and want to pet and sneak Charlie snacks all the time. You solicit kisses from us all the time and we don't even have to ask :). You are laid back and have gone with the flow since you were born (not that you had a choice). When you play with your babies your voice gets higher and you jabber to them in your high sweet voice. WE love to watch you (only every single move and expression you make) and look forward to all the precious and fun times that are ahead. We love you Sissy Sue!

Hudson's first DC all to himself, we had to document.

I don't think Harrison got still until bedtime he was so excited about the party!

All the kiddos waiting in line for the pinata!
