Arm Update

We visited Dr.McClusky, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon in Jackson. He told us the complete opposite of what we thought (were told) that Saylor's arm was not broken on her growth plate and that it will not continue to get worse. It will probably need surgery but he feels like we should give it a chance to get as straight as it can so the surgery will be less extensive. Makes sense to us and were delighted we wouldn't have to put her through that right now! It has been frigid this week which is not fun being that Easter is Sunday and I want more flowers in my yard. Here is our spring so far!

She is now in the stage where she prefers to push the stroller with or without anything in it. Charlie, as many bad names as I call him, he loves our kids and follows her around everywhere she goes outside. He's sweet.

Here is Saylor and Dada at the doctor's office in Jackson, Joel has a full grown beard these days, he is "James" a disciple in our church's Easter program so he will be in full character this weekend and then it will be shaved. You should come! Saturday and Sunday at 6:30pm Salem Heights Baptist Church :)

The boys had opening day of baseball, I love their uniforms. It was a great day, they both got hits and got on base, Harrison scored!

I. LOVE. THIS.

These two are best friends, she calls him "Hud" or "Hud-uh"

Crazy hair and cold noses, they love to jump!

Easter Party at school and Flowering of the Cross was today. I love this stage of their lives, all three :)

All the crosses were breath taking this morning, this is the big one on the front porch of St. John's. We love this school and the people we've met here. It's going to be so hard to go to a new public school next year.....I know, harder on me than anyone else.

Spring Break isn't what it used to be!

Our spring break was fun and I have to say it was nice to stay home and get some things done! Joel took the week off too, but in his mind taking off of work is just taking off from the clinic, he still had home health to see almost everyday. Which worked out, the kids and I did things around the house, went to the zoo and shopping while he saw patients and we all worked outside when he was home. On Sunday I told the boys we were all going back to school the next day and Harrison said, "I thought you said we get a whole week off?" , it just passed by that fast! Here are some pics from the week!

Before church, they begged for me to buy these ties.... and when we were about to walk into church Harrison said, "take this off! everyone is going to look at me!" and then Hudson followed suite... isn't it too early for this?

While cleaning out their closet they found their moses baskets that I used to put them both in one when they were newborns! Turned out to be a great TV chair.

Joel did a lot to our yard this week, one being he built us two new raised gardens, everyone is so excited to start growing our own things.

We went to the zoo with friends and then Chuck E. Cheese (our first time) Here is Harrison, Preston and Hudson. Belle is missing in this pic.

We went to Kali's 7th birthday party and it was a skating party. The boys LOVED skating. Harrison asked to have their 8th birthday here (he has them planned out till their 9th).

They had these great things that help kids skate, Harrison was too cool but Hudson used it.

These two are so cute together, they hug and giggle and play so well. Two cuties.

Kali blowing out her candles, she got her ears pierced for her birthday, they looked so good!

Huddy and his Mommy

I went to a wedding of a dear college friend and roommate, she isn't pictured but the wedding was in Jackson at The Cedars and it was beautiful. This is Brittany, me, Ashley, Kristin, Chrissy, and Hayley. All my sorority sisters, roommates and friends from USM. It was so great to see and catch up!

I took them to a Princess and Prince party on Sunday and there was a horse and carriage that took them on rides  down the avenues in Laurel.

On a side note, we took Saylor for her last checkup with the bone doctor and he said she needs surgery on her little arm and is referring us to a pediatric doctor in Jackson. We will go Friday and get the scoop and make the appointment. It's so unfortunate and I want to be mad but I know that wont solve the problem, so we update when we know more.

Flossy is Glossy

Here is the past two weeks in pictures! I only have a few minutes to catch up and I don't want to miss any cute moments :)

The boys have started baseball, they are on the Cardinals and their coach is Craig Sumrall, Joel is helping too, so far they like it. However, they did get in trouble on the field the other night for fighting :/ I felt like it was me getting in trouble, one threw the others glove and so he got hit with a bat in the leg... lesson learned.

This is what our girl wants to do every morning when she gets to Khaki's. She is just tall enough to reach the knocker and she peeks through the window waiting on smiling Khaki to come to the door :) She is the sweetest and has been such a blessing to us, we just clicked right away and she feels like a long lost friend/aunt.

We had a crawfish boil for Dwayne and his fiance, Lindsay. I really do have a picture of them but I need to get those things off my big camera...technology can really slow things down.

The "triplets" at a birthday party, it was a laser tag party and they had a blast!

Nanny came and stayed with us so I could go take the GRE (thats another story) I LOVE when she lives with me, even if its only for 12 hours or so. Its so fun to share the cuteness (and lacking of) of your kids with someone who understands them.

Flossy is into lipgloss and likes to put it on when we get in the car (like her momma)

These two and I had a special date today, we had a great lunch and then went shopping. They are so fun by themselves, a little sister sometimes steals the attention so they figure out crazy ways to get it back...
