Crooked

....That would be Saylor's arm :( We went to what would have been our last follow-up appointment this week for Say's arm and we had noticed it looked a little "off" but figured it was just still straightening out from wearing the cast. Well, a crooked arm is not good (obviously I should've known this). So we have to really stretch it out and go back in 4 weeks for a final x-ray to determine if she will need corrective surgery. She SHOULD have had the surgery to put pins in it at the very beginning...ugh.  View Exhibit A:

But she is still FAB!!

Hudson at his class Valentine's Day party. Two funny things...he calls Ramen Noodles "Rotten Noodles" just because he thought that's what they were called, he will say, "Will you fix me some rotten noodles?".

Harrison and his buddy Ryder at the party :)

Sissy and all of her baggage, literally. She keeps up with a lot of stuff and knows when something is missing.

The boys preschool choir performed Sunday night and it was adorable, Harrison thought he did the best "shooter" in the song "God's Army".

Imagine... a small exam room, heat turned wide open, three small kids for an hour and a half.... We were going crazy as you can tell!

Lent

Last week at a meeting I was attending our chaplain (an Episcopalian Priests wife) explained Lent to those who did not understand it. As a former Methodist I really like Lent and all the special meaning that goes along with it. She made a point that I never thought of; during those 40 days you are to strengthen your relationship with the Lord and take out what is distracting you from Him, whether that be a vice or something that keeps you from being your best. Without even taking the time to think, "hmm what could that be?" God elbowed me and I knew....Facebook. When I am sitting with the kids or cooking or anything that requires me to sit and not do anything I pull out my phone and check up on what everyone is up to on FB. Maybe its a problem I don't know, but I do know it is a major distraction from LIFE. I don't want my kids to remember me as always having my phone in my face. So I'm feeling convicted to stay off of FB for the Lenten Season and focus on being my best, a wife and mother (among other roles but those are at the top!). We are so blessed with health (of our children and our parents) jobs, family, friends, a great church family and each other that sometimes I think I'm (we) are not grateful enough. I might die of social shortcomings, be left out of all the tornado pics and updates, all my friends kids achievements, small talk, and the latest fashions on my nightly sales but that's OK. I tend to carry the burden of worries of people on FB and feel the urge to buy something so maybe this will be freedom from those bonds! It will be interesting....or probably not interesting since I won't know a thing that is going on but there is no turning back, I even decided to really think it over for a few days and my inner voice hasn't wavered. So, if something major happens shoot me a text :)

PS. I want to wish my precious big brother, Dean Brown an extra special Happy Birthday!! He is on an awesome trip skiing right now (imagine that!) but I hope this year is amazing, I love you so much and am so proud of you! I'm trying to catch up on posts, this is #2 for the day, excuse all the thoughts at one time.

Fluffiest and Cutest!

I am behind on my posts so I'm going to try to get a few done on the next day! We thought the winter months were going to be slow after Christmas but our weekends are already booked until the end of March and April is filling up! I feel like we have a lot on our plate right now and with Basketball season in tournament play Joel is very busy!

We went to the park last week for a picnic and here we are taking a walk...Harrison was here too he just found a hispanic little boy to play with and he kept yelling, "Si si!" at him to get his attention. He was intrigued and even taught the little boy how to play Rock Scissors Paper.

Last weekend we went to the Mystic Krewe of Zeus in Hattiesburg, Brian our good friend was a new dignitary this year and we so much fun watching the presentation and catching up with old friends.

Sometimes its fun to get dressed up and go on a special date!

Catching up with Chrissy, my camera was awful this night. This is one of those friends that no matter how long you go or how crazy your lives are its like we just picked up the conversation where we left off last time! We have major history that makes me smile to think about.....and laugh :)

The morning after Zeus we were up and back in Laurel in time for the boys first baseball try outs!! I still don't understand why a 5 year old needs to try out but whatever, apparently I'm in store for a lot of craziness excitement with baseball! With twin boys I just would like to stick to the all team sports and not focus on individual strengths yet!! :/

Today they had a pet show at school! Hudson won "Fluffiest Pet" and Harrison won "Cutest Pet". I tried to get them to take different animals or even their awesome personalized build-a-bears that could fit in their backpack but they had to bring the biggest thing we had and the same one...... brothers.

Guns and Glory

This past week was busy busy....we started it out with the greatest blessing Joel and I were baptized together Sunday night. That testimony is a whole other post but it was special and the boys were their to see and other family members. Here is the summary in pictures, my favorite way to blog!

This is unposed, they love when she will walk into church and they take her where she needs to go.

Here we are at the doctor and we thought she was getting her cast off for good! But they said her little arm wasn't ready so she got a new cast and off we went. They were out of pink and asked me what color and I thought "there is no other option besides pink!!" So I looked at her dress and said RED! It's fine but it doesn't go with much :/

This my friends.....is my new Peter's Pottery collection! I sold our elliptical and the money was burning a hole! I have wanted to "re-do" my serving pieces from when we got married. I'm sorry but at the ripe age of 23 you do not know what you are going to like or use in 8 years! So I have started over, now this is all I want for a couple of years so I can build it up. It was like Christmas!

The boys had their k-4 chapel program "Bullfrogs and Butterflies" this week. It was so cute!! Hudson was a fish and Harrison was a "Boogie Woogie Bear" here are the 3 amigos, Harrison, Christopher and Hudson.

Mawmaw brought her video recorder because they love to watch and re-watch themselves.

Here is the fam, Saylor was over it and wanted Mawmaw, I love this picture.

Here is Joel adding up his score at our Concealed Carry course, he got 82%

Jason was awesome, he scored a 93% which was the highest! He was also my coach and a huge help, the first time I tried I was so nervous and scared and anxious I thought I was going to hyperventilate I only scored a 58% (you have to have a 70% to qualify) so the next time the pressure was on and I shot a 78% and got "most improved" :)

Here we are after we graduated, it was incredibly cold and the longest day I have ever left our babies with someone other than grandparents and I was ready to run home! I was exhausted but felt very accomplished :)
