This year Easter was so much fun and had so much more meaning than I remember previous Easters having. First of all, I know I always say this but there is nothing like the magic and wonder of a special holiday with three excited kids! They were all very into it this year and the boys really caught on the real meaning of Easter this year which made it so special. We had a big Easter Drama at our church and they had asked Joel first to help and be a disciple in the program and he obliged and we went to the meeting with him and they asked me and the kids to be in it too. We relieved Saylor of her duties after the first rehearsal because she would see Joel across the sanctuary and yell "dada!" and that did not fit into the story line! We had a great time and got to know a lot of people whom otherwise would not have crossed paths with us.
Before going to school and celebrating Easter and Flowering of the Cross.
In front of the big cross at school, it was beautiful and each class does their own cross of flowers and greenery from everyones yard and all together they were amazing!
We went to Nanny and Pop's and dyed eggs and then we spent the day at Jason and Shelley's and it was so much fun, hiding eggs and hanging out with the fam.
Easter Sunday, Joel and the other disciples all grew out their beards for the part, he came home that night and shaved it all off, he couldn't stand it! Arent' they all cute? We went to Aunt Elaine Eavenson's after church and ate and hunted eggs with all the Nelson's and Mawmaw and Pawpaw. It was a great day!
