Tiny Tigers and Tornadoes

For the Laurel Tornadoes last game of the regular season (against West Jones) we sent Saylor to Nanny's and I took the boys to the game to see Daddy! We went with friends who live close enough to walk to the stadium and it was a great game, Laurel won by 1 point in overtime!
Sissy caught a lizard at Nanny's and sent us this picture!

Here are all the kids we took to the game!

L-Town

It was cold but the kids had the best time!!

In other news, the Tiny Tigers went undefeated this season thanks to Coach Edwin. It was a great team and season!

Halloween 2013

Here is what we did the weekend of Halloween 2013!

Saylors first Halloween that she was really excited to participate in, she chose her costume and Minnie of course :)

Harrison was "Crusher" a Skylander and Hudson was an Army Ranger.

We went to my brother's house down in the Oaks District in Hattiesburg and I tell you, that place was awesome! It was like the neighborhood on Halloween I without the murderer, kids running everywhere, people all outside on their porches, halloween music and sounds coming from the houses, leaves falling everywhere. Perfect.

We went to the Sauls' Crestola Farms fall festival and had a grand time together.

The Antique Mall (where we have a booth) had their Christmas Open House and it really got the holiday festiveness kicked off! Great day, saw lots of people!

Here is a pic before school and I laughed out loud when I reviewed them, this is exactly what our lives are like, not picture perfect but our kind of perfect :) These boys are crazy!

First field trip!

The boys' class went to Mitchell Farms on a field trip and Saylor and I tagged along!  They have the sweetest classmates and I loved getting to see the faces of the names I hear about everyday.

Mrs.Walters and Mrs.Benson stop for a pic with Hudson :)

Harrison was so proud his sissy came to hang out with his friends, one day this will probably change.

Hudson is an ostrich.

These two are BFF's

Fair Days

The boys with some of their oldest friends, Christopher and Maggie Claire. The boy's team the Tiny Tigers are going undefeated this year, it is so much fun to watch. They are good little soccer players.

I had to take a picture of this little girl's hair, she is getting a good cut next week and I'm not sure if she will have any curl left :( She has so much hair and it really is pretty one day she will appreciate it!

Right before getting Christmas Card pics done, this snaggle tooth has my heart :)

This was the first picture session that I really thought we would get nothing, she is so painfully shy that she couldn't get her finger out of her mouth or make eye contact with the camera... hopefully she will get over some of this and be able to show people how sweet and funny she really is.

We went to Maggie Moore's birthday party at Kamper Park, it was such a great day to be outside!

Here is Mawmaw and Say at Chris and Kim Eavenson's baby shower, baby Avery is coming soon!

Saylor is like her Momma and loves animals, we went to the South Mississippi Fair in Laurel and this was her favorite part. She laughed at and Mommied all the animals.

Then they all rode the ponies :)

These boys have no fear to the point I'm a little worried. They were tall enough to ride a lot of the grown up rides and they didn't even want to talk about it, they got in line and got pumped up before I could change their minds! They were not entertained by the baby rides at all.

Saylor got to play a fishing game and won a caterpillar.

This is one of our favorite traditions of the year, so much to see and eat! We love the racing pigs, face painting, all the baby animals, art exhibits, and all the familiar faces. We ate corndogs, chicken-on-a-stick and cotton candy. Can't wait for next year!

Cabo Wedding

My dear friend that I graduated with and lived down the street from, Lauren Bicker, married her sweet fiance on October 4th in the beautiful Cabo San Lucas. I was in the wedding so Joel and I went on the trip and had the time of our lives! My parents came and stayed with the kids during the week (wed-fri) to keep them on their schedule and they went to Joel's parents for the weekend. It seemed like this week would never get here but it did and we saw some of the most breathtaking scenes I have ever laid my eyes on. The Bicker's were amazing hosts and had an event planned for each day and they covered every detail of the wedding. It was truly an amazing week.
Our first night there they took all of the guests on a sunset cocktail cruise. There were at least 40 people! We took a boat out on the Pacific side and watched the sunset. Cabo is known for this natural Arc in the rocks off the very tip of the Baja Peninsula.

This was at the rehearsal, at the Sunset de Mona Lisa. Angie, Lauren, Chrissy, me, Carolyn, Katherine and Vanessa. The little girls are Lauren's nieces, Allie and Caroline.

The next day at the pool, Joel and I won the trivia game. It was like winning the World Cup, so exciting, wish I had a trophy.

The beautiful bride and her dad.

The wedding had its own Mariachi band that played all the music before and during the ceremony.

This whale is a slide that goes into the pool, we played on it like kids, so much fun!

This was the view from our balcony.

Joel and I had the best time with friends and let loose and played in the ocean (which I normally would never do) played in the pool, ate amazing food, got great sleep and saw some of God's most amazing work. Thanks to the Bicker's for hosting such a grand week and letting us be a part of such a special wedding!

Boxes

October is always one of our most exciting months with the boys birthday, fall and their 2nd favorite holiday....HALLOWEEN!
We went to the FUMCL pumpkin patch where Mr.Ben helped them all pick a pumpkin, I picked a bushel of the little white and orange baby pumpkins.

You can bet that Harrison is going to go for the biggest one in the patch that has a stem and I always end up talking him down in size because I can't carry it :)

He we are with our loot, Hudson usually goes for something unique, this year it was a white one.

Harrison missed his first day of school and while at home he found this box and pretty much stayed in it all day, he ate lunch in it and took a rest...where can I get more??!

Saylor is getting bigger and bigger and likes to wear her towels like Mommy.

Charlie stays right with her whenever we are outside, he knows that's his baby sister.

These two boys had all A's on their very first report card!! 98's and 100's to be exact and all "O" for Outstanding behavior :) We are so proud and very pleased with where they are in public school as far as what they have learned. Common Core is working well in Kindergarten in my opinion!

First Sleepover

We gave the boys a choice this year....a party for everyone (family, friends, classmates) or a sleepover. They excitedly chose a sleepover. They have never had friends to stay the night before. So being a first-timer myself and knowing the Joel would not be at most of this  because of football I thought it was fair for each boy to choose 2 friends. So 6 boys, I've always figured once you get past 3 kids it doesn't really matter. So here is how it went...
This is before the party in my nice clean house :)

Here is Brooks, Christopher, Sam and Harrison eating dinner.

It got a little crazy when we unwrapped gifts and gave out goody-bags.

Here they are before the silly string war. They are all good kids, but good kids does not ensure you against yelling, screaming, jumping and all the excitement that is apparently bottled up in these poor youngens until they all get together at the Pierce's!

They did silly string, popped fireworks, took their shirts off (they thought they were cool), watched 20 minutes of Teen Beach Movie, ate pizza and chips and fruit and cupcakes, played the drums (loudly), played spy/army rangers and so much more!
The birthday boys were great hosts that night!

Even the dogs were worn out! Haha, really that was a great night's sleep for Joel and I and I think it is because we sent Saylor to Nanny's. The boys all went to sleep about 10:45 or 11:00 that night and of course my two were the first awake at 6:15am. The other normal children started waking up from 8:00 to 9:00 and by 10:00 everyone was gone! Sleepover was a success and I would do it again but not until they turn 10!
