Puddin'

I survived my first week by myself with just a few bumps. The first day went beautifully, which made me a little suspicious. The second day was a little more "typical". The morning started off with Harrison dumping a package of powdered chocolate pudding EVERYWHERE. I think he thought it WAS pudding and once it started coming out he tried to clean up the dry powder with a dry washcloth and just ended up dumping the remains behind a chair in the corner.....big mess. Then after I picked the boys up from school they were in the garage supposed to be getting their trikes out and I walked out to find Harrison walking on top of my car and Hudson in the driver's seat honking the horn....minor heart attack. Then they were playing on the front porch and Hudson comes in crying and soaking wet, Harrison had turned on the hose and sprayed Hudson in the face and soaked his clothes, so I (nearing mental breakdown) run out to grab the hose and the stinker sprays me down.... By the time my poor Joel got home I was in tears and rocking. However, after much needed rehabilitation the boys are acting MUCH sweeter and we a good chance of survival!

Here is the Miss at 2 weeks old!
We had her check-up this morning and she has gained 2 lbs in 2 weeks! The girl eats. She has a little heart murmur that we have to go get an echo for in the morning, apparently this is pretty normal. She is doing really well and has been a good baby so far!

Harrison can't take his eyes off the TV long enough for a snapshot :)

Hudson really adores her and always asks for her to kiss him goodnight...he thought it was awesome that she was in HIS bed.

A little ice cream treat after a successful kid portrait session, they were so good!

"The most fun I've had in a long time" - Joel, about sitting in a chair holding the sprayer for the boys to ride through.....we need a vacay.

Sorry Saylor, you are kind of hard for them to hold right now :)

1 week home and...she's a keeper

We have been loving every minute of having our new little girl at home with us. Joel took off this week and it has been so nice. Although I think I'm almost ready to start next week by myself and get us all back on a schedule! Saylor has been a great baby and fits right in, we don't keep the TV on mute like we did with the boys, or wake her up to feed her. She has only cried if she wakes up hungry and I take too long to get her bottle ready. She is quite an eater and is already eating 4 ounces every 3-4 hours! Here is a look at our week!

1 week old!

Hudson has needed a little more attention this week (understandably) and this kind of sums up his mood.

We ALL have loved having Daddy home this week!! He gave me a very nice happy for Mom's Day and the birth of Saylor and has been the most help this week.....I love him!

She took her first nap in her bed.

Hudson is filling his motorcycle up with gas (out of my breathing thing from the hospital, ended up being a great toy!)

Me: "Harrison aren't you glad your baby sister is finally here?" Harrison: "Nah, I'm just glad Daddy bought me this gun at the store." He hasn't skipped a beat, glad she's not cramping his style!

We are so blessed to have 3 perfect children, we are so grateful!!

Introducing.....

Miss Saylor Annagale Pierce, arriving Tuesday May 3rd, 2011 at 8:12 am. She was 7 pounds 3 ounces and 20 inches long. She has long limbs, fingers, feet and toes and dark brown hair. We both did well in the hospital and came home a day early. She has brought such sunshine into this house, we are all in love! Here are some pictures of the past few days...

36 hours

...Is how long we have left before our little girl arrives! I am feeling excited, nervous (very for some reason), overwhelmed maybe because my sweetie keeps saying, "this is the LAST time we do {fill - in - the- blank} without a baby!" or he just said, "tomorrow is your LAST time to get up with the boys alone for the rest of your life!" Speaking of, they are really excited and tell us everyday how much they love her :) I just pray that she is ok and healthy!
Here are some snapshots of the nursery which is always a work in progress...

The glider that was originally used for Lucy and Grayson, then I had it recovered for our twins and now again for our little girl! It has rocked some special babies!

Her crib and mobile

I painted the pictures over the dresser because I couldn't find anything that was "special" to me and they say, "You are my sunshine" and "My only sunshine" my mom would sing that to me growing up.

I know they are going to be so mad at me one day for posting these but they are so "real life"! Hudson got a play rifle for Christmas that he holds onto nonstop in the house, he sleeps with it and pretends to shoot deer, birds, turkey, and moose. This is after their bath one night and it is such a true depiction of how they are right now...

There must have been a moose by my bed...

Mawmaw and Pawpaw brought the boys their fav...watermelon!

Ok, the next time I blog my little girl will be making her blogging debut!!! Get ready!
