We have bus riders!

My friend Carolyn Bolivar is a photographer and had some Easter Mini-Sessions so I bought one, none of the kids had Easter outfits so we picked these out the night before! Saylor actually has on my Easter dress from when I was 3 or 4. She LOVED the baby animals and cried for a bunny when we left. I told her that bunny had to stay in her house.... she straightened up in deep thought for a moment and said, "then I want a caaaaat!!" LOL :)
That bunny....

She is holding it so gently, I love this.

These sweet hearts have always been the best sports at taking pics, they are wild but they know when to turn it on for the camera. Hudson said, "no thanks!" to holding any animals!

We usually end up behind the bus on our way home from picking up the boys at school, they always beg to ride the bus. I finally asked about this bus one day and found out that it takes all the teachers kids front the elementary to the high school and then would come straight to our house! This was perfect because usually I have to wake Saylor from her nap and ride to the school to sit in our car for 30 minutes. So I called the bus driver and got the scoop, I told her they really needed to sit on the front row together. She agreed and brings them to the entrance of our neighborhood everyday now, they think they are super cool and I get an extra 45 minutes at home to finish laundry or whatever! Here is the maiden voyage....
Joel happened to be off the first day they rode home so we all walked to wait on them!

Even Charlie had to see his boys get off this bus!

Here they come!!

"It was awesome!!!" they both said.

Saylor needed a hug! This was a big moment for us and I had a little lump in my throat, I'm always so glad that they have each other.

First Mardi Gras!

The kids have never been to a Mardi Gras parade so we went down and spent the night with Dean and Ashley and had the best time!
This is not at Mardi Gras but in car pick up line and Mercy kept resting her head on my shoulder and I was trying to get a picture, so I held the camera out and said, "Mercy!" to get her to look at my hand but she's a good dog and looked at me. :)

Saylor gets shy when we miss dance and she has to go back and dance out there without a hand to hold again (she's 2). So this week the boys came and Harrison, said," I got it, I'll help her!" and there he went!

Here we are at the night parade getting to our spot! Joel had a basketball game this night so he drove down after and met us.

Liam and these things you blow and they become streamers!

I had a heart-stopping, mind blowing, complete panic attack when we could not find Harrison. I could not move or see literally. He was just in the street on top of Uncle Dean's shoulders! Whew! Worst.Feeling.Ever.

Here we are after the parade, minus Don and Nancy! It was so fun, Saylor waved her hands and said "Hey Mister!"

The next day, in downtown Mobile after the floral parade we were waiting outside the candy shoppe while Dean and Joel got a Krispy Kreme Donut Burger. Really.

These three.....are my world!

Spring Break 2014

For Spring Break we didn't go on a vacation or out of town. We had a so much fun right around home, we went to Hattiesburg, Jackson, Children's Museum, ChuckECheese, The Zoo and spent a lot of time with cousins! Here are some of the highlights from that week!

Sleeping in (which that term is used very loosely, maybe 7:30am) and making breakfast together.

The Children's Museum in Jackson was so much fun!

Saylor, Hudson and Grayson turning the conveyor belt of rocks.

Harrison loved making spin art!

Kali made her Mom and Dad a card.

Saylor helped paint a new mural for the museum!

These two woke up and went fishing with Daddy in the "Beaver Lake". No catches but a lizard got in the boat and Hudson reportedly screamed like a girl and wouldn't touch it :)

We all went to Kali's 8th birthday at the Bowling Alley!

Saylor was not awake until the party was half way over, she still needs her full nap everyday!

Kayla, Ava and Kali

Saylor loved bowling and loves her girls!

Joel beat Matthew in bowling and that was highlight of his week, although the next day he could hardly move his hand  and arms from being out of bowling shape.... but who is?

Audubon Zoo ... a first

Saylor, Joel and I had never been to the zoo in New Orleans so as the weather started warming up a little we did an impromptu (this is how we roll best) trip to the zoo with Nanny, Pop, Uncle J, and Liam. It was a great day! We stopped at Cracker Barrel in Slidell and then went to the zoo.

All four under the leopard rocks.

Selfie!

Family pic.... you know how this goes, this was the best one.

These two..... LOL

The grands with the kids at the zoo.

I said, "Show me the toy you picked out!" and they struck a pose, naturally.

To conclude this post I will leave you with this...She found a pair of hand-me-down jeans we had and fell in love. This is the first denim that has touched her body and she wants to wear them everyday and has asked to sleep in them. I can't stand it...no more just putting on what I dictate :(

Snow Days!

Ok, my blog is no longer "broken" I'm forcing myself to catch up! Here we are in February, it was a cold and wet winter, we had 3 snow days! Look at what we did!
Mercy girl loved the snow!

First place they went when the snow/ice finally stuck was the trampoline, they were so excited :)

These are two goofy and real "outside-boy-dirty faces"

Saylor on Valentine's Day, she was taking her cards to pass out at Mother's Day Out.

Harrison read his first book ALL the way through to me and Saylor!!

These are the Valentine's Day mailboxes they made for school....next year we might just buy a basket, slap a heart on it and go with it :/

This was so funny, it is a Valentine's Day card from Harrison to me, it says "you r the a jul uv my lif!"  (you are the angel of my life), and then he drew a picture of his family..... minus Hudson. LOL
