Spring Break 10' or Bust!

We celebrated our own Spring Break this week. We went to the outlet malls in Gulfport with Nanny and Granny Shaw on Monday. We stopped and had lunch at the Golden Corral buffet, the boys loved the ice cream and gummy bears of course. Tuesday we went to play with the Crager's , Collin, Brantlee and Mrs.Courtney and that is always fun! Yesterday, Nanny and Liam came to play and the boys played with big bubbles and we practiced Easter Egg hunting, they had a blast and did so well in the hunt! So we have had a fun week despite the cooler than norm temperatures.
Potty training is coming along, they are doing well with pull-ups and waking up dry so maybe in the next month we will see big strides in getting out of diapers. I don't have an update on the job search, we have just seen the biggest budget cut in education in years so schools are NOT hiring....ugh. I will hit the pavement again next week to try to charm them some more. Here are some pictures from our Spring Break!

Finding all the toys and candy in their eggs, I think they expect every egg to have something inside now...

Cousins! They have so much fun together!

That sounds like fun! - HSP

We have really done so well (literally!) with not being sick this winter! It caught up with us and these boys have had fevers and bronchitis ALL week and let me tell you what a week it has been! I will spare you all the details but this has probably been one of the most stressful weeks in a long time. I started a grad class that I didn't know I was in (it was full when I registered) and I had already missed 2 classes, trying to catch up on work and take care of the sick and we didn't have Internet or a printer....whew I am glad it's over! The boys are shaping up and the weather is fantastic. Joel already has our weekend planned with yard work, seriously he has it planned by what we will do first, projects we will work on together and our own projects to finish and he started talking about this last week! We just planned our first family (us 4) beach vacay and I am so excited, I think they will really like it this year!

Harrison playing with the curtain in the doctor's office, germ-free I'm sure!

Sitting patiently, this is how I knew they were really sick.

Running their trains on the desk.....waiting

Harrison has been cracking us up with his phrases....we aren't sure where he comes up with the things he says because we don't talk the way he does. We passed the West Jones baseball fields the other night and he said, "oh a baseball game! that sounds like fun!"
Some favorite things right now:
Berenstain Bears
Max and Ruby
Team Umi Zumi
Mr.Potato Head
Mardi Gras Beads
Grilled Cheese
Singing ABC's and Itsy Bitsy Spider
Coloring
Dora Snacks

Here are some snapshots from our week!

The many faces of Harrison, if you know him you would know that he has the most hilarious facial expressions and to the extreme! This is what we sing to brush our teeth:
Brush-brush, brush-brush,
Ev'ry tooth, No need to rush!
Brush them ev'ry night until they're briiiiiight...
And then SPIT...and that's it!

His poor old tattered blankie, he loves it and it shows :)

My little fireman went on a date with me to the grocery store and we both loved it, he kept hugging me while riding in the buggy, I think it was nice he didn't have anyone to fight over the seat with ;)

He talks to Charlie, shows him his trains and trucks, and tells him "good boy!" at this window all day, it's so genuine.

My friends and I had a bridal shower for our dear friend Carolyn this weekend, it was so fulfilling to see and hug and laugh with everyone!
