The only trace of pink....

Nanny brought us a bag of precious clothes, blankest and a swimsuit for Saylor and at the bottom were these two t-shirts for the boys "big brother", Harrison is a little resistant to the idea so he said he didn't like them and didn't want to look at them....fine. Hudson looked at the shirt for a minute and confused asked, "is that my football team shirt?" haha, Yes you are now on a football team I said.

We have used the break to clean out every drawer, cabinet and closet. We have so much stuff to get rid of! Joel and his dad even floored our attic and moved all the office furniture out of the office which will soon be a nursery. I know, it is early, but this was our only time off before Spring Break and I might not be motivated then. Besides, we are already starting to get some pink items that need a place :) This morning I was showing the boys the new sheep skin rug and they couldn't resist...shirts came flying off and they were rolling on it! "this is soooo soft Mommy!" and "I want one!" .....

The only trace of pink in this house is a bag of precious things that Saylor got for Christmas! I have a feeling we will be enveloped in this color by this time next year!

Christmas 2010!!

Christmas morning came and we had a full day! Here is what we did!

Our hall picture, we have a NON-MORNING participant.

Sunshine opening his stocking, he got a coke and immediately opened it!

Buzz Lightyear Bath Goodies!

I didn't capture the morning the way I had imagined, but it all went so fast!! They opened presents and were so excited about their big airplane and spaceship the most! Last, Hudson remembered to go get the water bowl from outside that they left the reindeer water in.... and it looked like this
Rudolph must have been thirsty!
Then we went to Mawmaw and Pawpaw's to have Christmas with them, Matthew, Julia, Kali and Kayla and on to the Nelson's for Dirty Santa.
These boys love dress up and they got a doctor outfit and...
a cowboy outfit! They have worn them daily since!

Kali got the wig from Tangled and Uncle Matthew couldn't resist! I wish I had that picture!

Mawmaw and Kayla were watching Uncle Matthew

Alphie! A favorite from this Christmas.
On to Nana and Pop's to open Christmas!
Somebody got some new undies!!
The boys really remembered this year who gave them what gift and they still ask , "didn't I get this from Santa, or Kali?" Thank you to the grandparents for being so festive and giving this year, we made a lot of great memories. I am so thankful that my schedule gave me these two weeks with my precious boys, I enjoyed every minute. What a blessing this holiday and year was, we are so thankful!

Feliz Navidad!

This Christmas holiday has been more fun and exciting than ever! Having two three-year olds in the mix brings back all the magic and wonder. We have enjoyed them so much during our time off from work! Here is the start of the celebrations the week of Christmas...

All the Brown grandkids at Nanny and Pop's, they LOVE to play dress up!

The plaid gang

Present opening begins! Chaos!

Cool race track from Lucy and Grayson

Their first play rifle from Liam, they are really getting into hunting and talk about it all the time.

The next morning putting the track up, Hudson is camera shy can't you tell?

At the fiesta!! All the kids on Pappy and Nana's side of the family.

Nana Pierce's Feliz Navidad food spread, muy delicioso!

Hudson on his burro

Pappy cooking the fajitas

To wrap the fiesta up (it was a wild party too!) the pinata had to be busted! Go Harrison!

Reindeer Food

This week has been just what I dreamed about being out of school! We have shopped and wrapped and cleaned all the things I wish I could do everyday while I'm sitting at work! We have visited with family and friends almost every night, one thing that is missing is our fire! It is too hot to build a fire, 73 degrees yesterday! This has been by far the best Christmas season I have ever had, the magic is back with 2 three year olds. They are intrigued by all the stories, lights, traditions and "rules" about Christmas time. They have really caught on to the true Christmas story almost more than what exactly Santa does, besides bring toys. Hudson asks me every morning, "is it Christmas time Mommy?". Last night while talking to Aunt Ashley on the phone Harrison added a toy to his list, a bulldozer, hmm I will have to get that one to Santa because he did NOT know about that request! She told him about when Lucy and Grayson put water out for the reindeer and when they woke up the water was red! They assumed Rudolph was the thirsty one. We will have to remember the thirsty reindeer this year.

Hudson telling Kayla bye, he picks her up when they hug now, what a big cousin!

Myles and the boys working on the tool bench.

Hudson before church, the other sweet little boy was just behind me in disagreement about taking a picture...

Boys with their reindeer food (supposed to go out Christmas Eve, they couldn't wait) I really do dress them the same and in matching clothes when they leave the house in the morning, this is right after school.

Harrison sprinkling the driveway in case they prefer asphalt.

Hudson got the grass just to make sure...
They sat down on the walkway right after they were done and I was going inside and said, "come on boys!" and they said, "no we are waiting for the reindeer" so I had to explain over and over that they will come on Christmas Eve and it might have finally sunk in, they are learning!

And a final salutation from Harrison (woops!), Merry Christmas!

Fleebur

There was something we had to come clean with our parents about this weekend. It was really hard to to get past our nerves. We called Pappy and Nana Pierce first and telling somebody felt a little bit better.. So Saturday night went a little like this...

The boys brought Nanny and Pop something to look at..

Nanny was so surprised!!

It was an ornament!

A Pink Bootie.....

We told MawMaw and Pawpaw the same thing...

She was surprised too!

and excited! Look at Harrison in these, he was enjoying it too!

We had to tell them that "It's a Girl!!". We are about to be 19 weeks pregnant with our little girl. She is due on May 11th. They knew we were expecting, they just didn't know we had found out the sex early! The boys are so excited that they are going to be big brothers....they have been wanting a little sister ever since we told them.

Here are some name suggestions the big brothers gave us...
Harrison: Buckley and Taxi
Hudson: Fleebur (and this one stuck, he calls her this all the time)

So Fleebur's official name is going to be Saylor Annagale Pierce. We have always liked the name Saylor, and for her middle name; my Mom's middle name is Ann and Joel's Mom's middle name is Gale so that was a fit! We are all so excited and I must admit I'm a little intimidated by all the little girl things I'm going to have to learn and find out about....I think I know a few people that can help me out!

Santa 2010

Here are some pics to catch up on a few things we have been up to!
See the deer below? There were six doe and they pretty much travel together. This was in Mawmaw and Pawpaw's backyard, they keep a feeder down the way for them, they are so big! Hudson was amazed and snuck so quietly out on the back porch to get a closer look.
He was so quiet!

Our big boys by their Christmas tree.

Harrison: "Mommy, why you hang all those socks up there?" (stockings)
"Baby Jesus' birthday is on Christmas! Will we get a balloon?"

Hudson: "Santa looks like a Grandpa, Mommy."
" I will sit on him but I don't have to look at him" (Santa)

A look back at some Santa history with the Pierce Boys

This was their 2nd Christmas 2008, (14 months old) Hudson was terrified. Nobody could talk so they didn't ask for anything, easy year!

This is their 3rd Christmas 2009, (26 months) Hudson was terrified, they were rushed off so Hudson would not cause too much of a scene, again nobody asked for anything.

Grand Finale......
Fourth Christmas 2010, (3 yrs 2 mos). Harrison went to see Santa in Hattiesburg first and told him Hudson was too scared but he wanted an airplane and Harrison asked for a rocket ship for himself. Then, tonight we asked Hudson if he wanted to go tell Santa what he wanted and he reluctantly agreed. He didn't look at him but they both shot great smiles to the camera....Success!
Now we will see if they are good and if Santa will bring them their requests!

Thanksgiving 10

This year we spent Thanksgiving Day and week with all of our family! The boys got to see all of their cousins and grandparents. We are so thankful for not only the delicious food we ate this week but for the moments we got to spend together and the memories we made. We are blessed beyond belief! Holidays are so much fun with these boys they truly bring back all the magic I remember about them as a kid. As we go back to work and school I want to savor every day of this Christmas season and not rush through the next 3 weeks till Christmas vacation. Harrison talked with Santa Claus yesterday, he told him what he was hoping for and that his little brother Hudson was not ready to talk to him yet. Santa was very nice and even sent Hudson some stickers and said as soon as he gets ready to talk Santa will be waiting for him....he might be waiting for a long time this year.
Here at Nanny's house checking out her tree with Uncle Jason, Liam (aka Buzz) and Skeeter.

They watched Grayson and Lucy play their very cool video games.

We tried to take a family shot of my Granny and the kiddos...it was a circus.

Both of my babies had the stomach virus at different ends of the week :(

Uncle D taught them how to throw goldfish in the air and catch them in their mouths....there were goldfish ALL over the floor.

We went to the Crager's to watch the Egg Bowl and played with our friends Collin and Brantlee!

We kept our PJ's on for most of the day today and went down to the water to throw sticks (because ALL the snakes are gone for the winter, if you know different keep it to yourself).

"fishing" with his stick

"Look Nah Nah, a big fish!"
