Thanksgiving 10

This year we spent Thanksgiving Day and week with all of our family! The boys got to see all of their cousins and grandparents. We are so thankful for not only the delicious food we ate this week but for the moments we got to spend together and the memories we made. We are blessed beyond belief! Holidays are so much fun with these boys they truly bring back all the magic I remember about them as a kid. As we go back to work and school I want to savor every day of this Christmas season and not rush through the next 3 weeks till Christmas vacation. Harrison talked with Santa Claus yesterday, he told him what he was hoping for and that his little brother Hudson was not ready to talk to him yet. Santa was very nice and even sent Hudson some stickers and said as soon as he gets ready to talk Santa will be waiting for him....he might be waiting for a long time this year.
Here at Nanny's house checking out her tree with Uncle Jason, Liam (aka Buzz) and Skeeter.

They watched Grayson and Lucy play their very cool video games.

We tried to take a family shot of my Granny and the kiddos...it was a circus.

Both of my babies had the stomach virus at different ends of the week :(

Uncle D taught them how to throw goldfish in the air and catch them in their mouths....there were goldfish ALL over the floor.

We went to the Crager's to watch the Egg Bowl and played with our friends Collin and Brantlee!

We kept our PJ's on for most of the day today and went down to the water to throw sticks (because ALL the snakes are gone for the winter, if you know different keep it to yourself).

"fishing" with his stick

"Look Nah Nah, a big fish!"

A round of birthdays

Last week we celebrated my 29th birthday.....one more year of the roaring 20's. I had a great week and all of my boys made it special. My parents came over on my birthday and brought dinner because Joel was working a basketball game. It was a great week and I am at a really good place in my life right now I couldn't be happier!

They get more excited than anyone about birthday's, Hudson wished me Happy Birthday everyday last week and even yesterday!

We also celebrated Emma Theobald's Birthday, the boys had so much fun at her jumper party.

Little Porter, he is the BEST baby, so sweet.

The birthday girl with Rylee and Reed.

I want to welcome little Jack Clemmenson into the world, he came the day before my birthday the 15th. Vanessa his mommy is my oldest friend of 15 years, love you guys! Also Happy Birthday to POP today, we will get to celebrate with him tomorrow, have a great day Pop we love you so much!

Hawsies!

One of our favorite outside activities is to walk down the street in our neighborhood and see the horses. We will bring graham crackers to feed them and the boys have NO fear. I did not grow up around animals besides dogs and the occasional ferret so I have a great respect for these beautiful things. Joel goes with us but he has to stand back about 10 feet, if he just looks at them he starts sneezing. It just seems if they wanted to come right over (or through) that fence it would be no problem. I'm glad they get to see them and pet them, they love them and call them by name. Here is what it looks like.

Harrison has no fear (of pretty much anything)

This keeps us on our toes!
Hudson LOVES his "hawsey"

They climb up and say "here hawsies!!" and kiss their lips and those things come galloping (so fast) down the hill!

A bunch of Grandmas

Harrison and Hudson's class went to the local nursing home last week to sing fall and Halloween songs. It was their official first field trip and I was nervous about it....control issues? Maybe. It was just hard to think of them getting in a vehicle driven by someone not in our family and traveling somewhere. Anywho, all went well and their teacher said they did a great job and they danced up a storm. When Joel got home that evening we were sitting outside and he asked the boys who did they go and sing to today? "Ummm, a bunch of grandmas" replied Harrison and honest as ever. WE DIED!! We laughed so hard. He said they were real nice and wanted to hug him, he thought they were great.

On the subject of grandmas, Harrison's middle name is Shaw, my mom's maiden name. Our only living grandparent is my Granny Shaw. When he stayed with my mom a couple weekends ago and was saying his prayers, he prayed for himself, and said, " and God bless Harrison Grandma Shaw Pierce". It must be a little confusing for him but it is really funny when he tells us that is his full name.

Here are some pics from this weekend:

Harrison, Hudson and Liam ready to hit the streets Trick-Or-Treating

Joel and Charlie were two of our Escorts, Jason and his dog Skeeter were our other two :)

I took the boys with me yesterday after school to go vote. They were very inquisitive as to what voting entailed. I explained that we would go in the voting house and push a button and then go home. They were VERY excited which made me worry that they were going to be severely let down. When we left the precinct Hudson fell apart in the parking lot. He was crying and saying he didn't want to go home because he didn't get to get into the BOAT and push any buttons!! Aaaahhhh.... that one was hard to explain.
