Shenanigans watch out!

I let all our fun pile up on me so I emptied my camera and here is what we did this weekend!

Shot leftover fireworks

Had fun with my camera and sparklers!

Superman flew inside every time a firework was being lit...even sparklers.

Mawmaw and Saylor caught up on each others new news.

We went to the Carroll Family Reunion and this year they had karaoke! These boys sang You Are My Sunshine like they get on the mic everyday... it was funny.

Uncle J made a short appearance

Nanny and Pop enjoyed visiting

Joel fixed Granny's camera

My sweet Granny Shaw

Then we went here...my Aunt and Uncle's

The boys fished, rode the golf cart, ate watermelon, and played Tug-o-War.

Liam and Harrison won!

I heard Saylor waking up and fussing after a nap and then she stopped and I thought Joel had got her, I went in to check on things about 10 minutes later and this is what I found....He climbed in and gave her a pacifier and was talking to her :)

Today I let them watch How To Train Your Dragon on the ipad in their bed...gave me a chance to fold some clothes!

Funny Friday

Funny and sweet things the boys have recently said:

* while tucking them in one night I was telling Harrison how proud we were of him and how smart he is and I said, "you can be anything you want to be when you grow-up" and he said in a very serious and over worked tone, "well I'm still trying to be a doctor, Mommy!" like he is fed up with it.

* I was laying on the couch and Hudson came up and hugged on me and patted my back and said, "I love you my princess".

* The boys went to the nursing home on a field trip and when I picked them up Harrison said (very seriously again) "Momma there was a lot of grandmas and grandpas and one of the grandpas was asleep sitting straight up in his chair, like this (and he modeled the "sitting up asleep grandpa")" it was hilarious.

* Hudson asked me today, "where is my tummy potty?" I asked him what about 5 times before I realized he was asking where his Silly Putty was....I guess putty is a new word that is too close to potty. ha!

*I was explaining their baptism and how Saylor is going to get baptized soon. They had a lot of questions and I summed it up by saying, "That is when we dedicated you to God". Harrison thought for a minute and said, "and you dedicated us to Santa Claus?"

*While in the car on the way home, they had just gotten scolded for yelling and play fighting in the car after a minute of silence Hudson said in a low voice, "Ugh I'm tired of this, I need to get off the road so I can tee tee in the grass"....I had to chuckle to myself.

She loves the toys that hang from the bouncer or carseat.

Miss Southern 2029

They are totally into playing games right now...

Of the electronic type... we are going to have to start limiting it because its getting excessive!

This is the typical scene when I leave them unsupervised for too long....running, jumping and fighting monsters! Happy Friday!!

A Best Friend's Wedding

Joel and I went to Memphis this weekend for Vanessa and Tyler's wedding. It was the first time to leave all our babies!! Harrison and Hudson stayed with his mom and Saylor stayed with my mom....we split them up so that we would be invited back ;) It was a great get-a-way, we made lots of fun memories but it sure was nice to get back to our chickens. Here are a few pictures.

Girls at the rehearsal dinner.

The bride and I, she was stunning!

Two of my oldest besties, Kimberly and Ashley.

It was fist-pumping good ;)

My sweet Vanessa, she did such a great job on everything!

The Peak of Summer

This is the "peak " of summer, it seems after the fourth of July everyone wants to hurry through the heat and work on school and getting ready for football season! Here is what we have been doing to stay cool!

Using the slide that Lucy and Grayson so kindly handed down to us!

They get creative and make different ways to slide down, we put soap on it to make it faster....yes it's a wonder we have not had broken bones yet, they are fearless.

She didn't participate but she wanted to be festive :)

Mrs.Courtney and Saylor, its a team effort around here!

Collin's 4th mini-birthday!

Here is Addyson and Saylor, Addy is 5 weeks old and Saylor was 9 weeks!

Spider man gummy finger puppets! Their favorite treat!

We have left out our furry friend a lot lately with a new baby and traveling...so we got him a cool bed to lay on outside. Its a Koolaroo dog bed, the boys help me put it together and we surprised Charlie!

My strong boys delivering the new bed!

aaaaand this is as close as he got....couldn't even pose for a picture on it. I hope he eventually figures out that its better than laying on the ground!

The Fourth

Here is what we did for the fourth!

Saylor slept, on the swing in the breeze, for EVERY nap and some at night...she doesn't know that we can't do that at home!

She went to the beach for the first time!

Joel got to kick back (and watch Casey Anthony Trial)

We went to eat awesome food at the Grayson's, slow-cooked ribs and a margarita cupcake were my favorites.

At the Grayson's

We went out on the boat

We acknowledged the "2-month old" birthday on July 3rd.

We played at The Pass and the boys threw a line or two.

The boys played...HARD!

They rode the hotdog, Hudson's most favorite thing :)

They got to play with cousins and had the most fun with them, we also celebrated Liam's 5th birthday!

Aunt Pat and Nanny kept Saylor while we went out on the beach for fireworks.

Jason, Jared, JJ, Joel, Dean and Dad

Jason, Dad and Dean - my guys

Dean and Ashley

Joel and I found out it IS possible to go to the beach with 3 kids.... we could not have done it without our family, the cousins entertained the boys and Ashley and Lucy really helped out with Saylor. It is the best feeling to see all of our kids playing together, they bring a whole new dynamic to a family and the best way to describe it would be JOY. Happy 4th of July!
(I could make a list of the pics I missed out on :( but why leave the glass half-empty.....)
