Medipneumovirus

......continuing from where I left off that Hudson had pneumonia and was on the mend...well he wasn't. I got worried about his oxygen levels because he was out of breath all the time and breathing rapidly while sitting still. So Joel borrowed his Oxygen Saturation machine from work and to make a long story short I took this picture of it and sent it to him Thursday afternoon. (It got down to 83/84 at one point)
And so we went to SCRMC ER.

This little boy was sick and dehydrated, we didn't even go through triage they took him straight back.

He and Daddy watched some Full House while we waited for a room.

Friday morning he was already feeling better and his oxygen levels started to come up. The doctor felt strongly that he had medipneumovirus its been around but it just became a threat to public health this year. It's hard to treat like RSV.

He got a happy from Uncle Matthew, Aunt Julia and Kali and Kayla! Talk about putting a smile on his face!

He had to do lung exercises once every hour, so we told him with the long hand made it to the 12 it was time. He watched that clock for 2 days and we didn't even have to remind him!

We found that walking helped his O2 levels so he did a lot of that. His chest xray was actually worse today but because he felt so much better and his oxygen was normal he got to come home! It was scary and we are so thankful for healthy children. Thanks to our families for swooping in and helping out with support and the other two munchkins, we could not survive without you! So many people were praying for our little guy and texting, facebooking and calling. We felt the love and so did he!

....and then we got home to smoke the pork butts for the beach and mow the yard, Joel accidentally knocked over the egg and it rained...so that's that.

  1. So glad he's better now? That lil guy deserved a beach vacation! Miller's oxygen saturations always run 83/84. It's scary huh? :(
