Mommy, please don't sing.

This is what I hear every single time I want to sing to a song in MY car! Harrison pleads with me, "Mommy, please don't sing! Turn it down, I don't like it!" and I try to tell him that singing makes me happy and that I can sing really good....he's not buying it.

This week we went to a surprise 70th birthday party for Joel's Aunt Martha Anne! Almost the entire side of Joel's mom's family was there. The kids had so much fun with the balloons and the Buzz Lightyear Rocket Sprinkler. Aunt Martha went through breast cancer with Joel's mom, it was quite a year for them both. We love her so much and were all glad she was surprised and had a great party!

Aunt Martha and Harrison

Mrs.Linda's Siblings (Martha, Jimmy, Linda, Charlie)

Almost everyone in the Brock family

Max stayed a week with us and he and Charlie were the best of friends!!!

Since the boy's birthday is a week away (and we bribed them if they didn't have any accidents in their pants!) We gave them their big present early! They have been talking about wanting a four-wheeler for months and months. I think I was more excited than anyone! We woke up last Saturday, went to Shoney's for breakfast and after we came home the boys looked out the front window and saw them!
Harrison and Hudson, we are so proud of you! You are two sweet little boys and have done so well adjusting to school, you are growing up so fast that we hang on to all of these special moments! You are the apple of our eye, we love you so much!

This is the first time they saw them and ran out the front door to climb on!

From the windows to the Wahl!

Last weekend we had a wedding shower for one of my dearest friends Kristen, or Kwahl to most of us. We had it at The Kitchen Table in Hattiesburg. It was so fun, we had a few cooking demonstrations and then we got to try it ourselves. We drank mimosas and refreshments and ate everything that was cooked and then shopped afterwards. Great times with old friends! We made the Captain Rodney's dip, a cheese torte, shrimp salad, pot stickers and an almond coconut tart.....delish! They even gave us our own recipe book from the shower that included all the tips and recipes we did.

Meg, Kelly, Julie, Mrs.Diane, Katie and the bride. Making Pot Stickers with the press...Kelly got in trouble for overfilling :)

Me, Julie the cook, Miki and Brittany, cutting the phyllo dough for the torts....I fell short on the job here for lack of detail (imagine that) she told me I am a type "B".

The night before the girls went to dinner and by the Phi Mu house because Kwahl, Ashley and I had never been in, we were in Panhellinic when we were active members :( Well this place is unreal, Viking appliances, top-notch furnishings, a furnished patio, full beds and private bathrooms etc. etc. We had so much fun just laughing and reminiscing, here they with the founding women.....we couldn't stop laughing it was awesome.

Here is my Harrison who got these glasses at Daddy's birthday party and he wore them for 2 days straight, went to sleep in them, wore them in the car and when he got picked up from school. I couldn't keep a straight face while carrying on a regular conversation with him!

Played in the water and dried off by Nanny!

Took pictures of all the kiddos, they had so much fun!

Cast the net and hope for a good catch.

Kayaked on the canal.

Loved on a little one.

Bounced on the hot dog.

Got around by kayak, Lolli likes to ride too.

Played with cousins!

We celebrated Joel and Nanny's birthday while we were there. The weather was perfect! Happy Birthday to my main man Joel, you are as good looking as the day I laid eyes on you. I wish you a year of happiness, blessings, and success. We love you and are so proud of you!!

Football on the brain

Football season is just about in full swing now and its all the talk everywhere we go! Here are some pictures I took of some students last Thursday before our first game. These are all (for the most part!!) my good students, they have great manners, they participate in class and do what is expected of them.

Small classes work together well!

Football players posing after class, they won their game and they deserved it, they have been working so hard! These are all nice young men!

Our boys posing for their football pic too! This was before school, USM played Thursday night so Daddy wanted them to represent at school. I didn't tell them to pose like this, they have seen Joel's high school football pictures where he is sitting like this!!

Happy Birthday To Maw Maw!! We had a little cake to celebrate after they took the boys to eat. WE love you so very much!
