Pierce Pickers

There are a few things for our house we have wanted for awhile that need to be old or things that you can't buy new. We knew there was a good chance we could find them here at these old family farm buildings and today we decided to go "Picken", here is the day in pictures, beware if this is not your thing you probably won't be dazzled.

If you know how I am you will know that at this point I thought hard about entering this place, I had to call Joel back to escort me, wild life is all I had on my mind.

Surveying the inventory, old wood ladder, wood doors, etc.

An old bike with training wheels

Ahh, these old wood doors are to die for, great colors some even have glass.

Wood-framed windows out of a church

Wood church pew, there were about 6 of these and we sifted through to find the one in the best shape.

Here are the guys, Joel, Matthew and Chris loading up our lumber we found for a project. Look at ALL that wood!

Pulling the church pew to safety, we saved it from the true death.

Here we come to the next building!

American Pickers would have gasped!

Old bikes, three of them!

I love this lamp and glass bottles behind it.

Our last stop!

These are the things we pulled out from that building, that suitcase has a pair of pristine white roller skates in it!

This old wood Coca Cola crate and bottles we saw as we were about to pull out.

I literally had 100 pictures, I would hold my camera down in a dark place and take a picture and then look at the camera to see what it saw, I was not as good of a picker as I had thought I would be. I have a lot of respect for snakes, rats, bees, wasps etc. and I don't want to disturb their house. I don't know that we have a place for everything we got we just got somethings we thought were cool and wanted to at least put them in our attic to get them out of the elements. Fun day, good finds....Kimberly, just wait till my projects are done then you will understand! haha
