1 week home and...she's a keeper

We have been loving every minute of having our new little girl at home with us. Joel took off this week and it has been so nice. Although I think I'm almost ready to start next week by myself and get us all back on a schedule! Saylor has been a great baby and fits right in, we don't keep the TV on mute like we did with the boys, or wake her up to feed her. She has only cried if she wakes up hungry and I take too long to get her bottle ready. She is quite an eater and is already eating 4 ounces every 3-4 hours! Here is a look at our week!

1 week old!

Hudson has needed a little more attention this week (understandably) and this kind of sums up his mood.

We ALL have loved having Daddy home this week!! He gave me a very nice happy for Mom's Day and the birth of Saylor and has been the most help this week.....I love him!

She took her first nap in her bed.

Hudson is filling his motorcycle up with gas (out of my breathing thing from the hospital, ended up being a great toy!)

Me: "Harrison aren't you glad your baby sister is finally here?" Harrison: "Nah, I'm just glad Daddy bought me this gun at the store." He hasn't skipped a beat, glad she's not cramping his style!

We are so blessed to have 3 perfect children, we are so grateful!!

Introducing.....

Miss Saylor Annagale Pierce, arriving Tuesday May 3rd, 2011 at 8:12 am. She was 7 pounds 3 ounces and 20 inches long. She has long limbs, fingers, feet and toes and dark brown hair. We both did well in the hospital and came home a day early. She has brought such sunshine into this house, we are all in love! Here are some pictures of the past few days...

36 hours

...Is how long we have left before our little girl arrives! I am feeling excited, nervous (very for some reason), overwhelmed maybe because my sweetie keeps saying, "this is the LAST time we do {fill - in - the- blank} without a baby!" or he just said, "tomorrow is your LAST time to get up with the boys alone for the rest of your life!" Speaking of, they are really excited and tell us everyday how much they love her :) I just pray that she is ok and healthy!
Here are some snapshots of the nursery which is always a work in progress...

The glider that was originally used for Lucy and Grayson, then I had it recovered for our twins and now again for our little girl! It has rocked some special babies!

Her crib and mobile

I painted the pictures over the dresser because I couldn't find anything that was "special" to me and they say, "You are my sunshine" and "My only sunshine" my mom would sing that to me growing up.

I know they are going to be so mad at me one day for posting these but they are so "real life"! Hudson got a play rifle for Christmas that he holds onto nonstop in the house, he sleeps with it and pretends to shoot deer, birds, turkey, and moose. This is after their bath one night and it is such a true depiction of how they are right now...

There must have been a moose by my bed...

Mawmaw and Pawpaw brought the boys their fav...watermelon!

Ok, the next time I blog my little girl will be making her blogging debut!!! Get ready!

Easter 2011

We had a great Easter! We went to church, drove to my parents for lunch, naps and Easter egg hunt, and then back that night for an Easter program at church! Here is what it looked like...

Mermaid the Turtle

The boys had their Easter Egg hunt and party at school on Thursday, they were so excited. I say this every holiday but the older they get the more fun each holiday is!
Sweet boys

"Mommy can we be monsters in the next picture?"

So on our way to pick up something that the Easter bunny asked us to get we saw a turtle in the road...Joel stopped and I got out to get it. I was going to put it in the very back but he told me just to hold it till we got back home....uhhh no way. So I said, "you hold it!"

"Joel turtles will pee and poo on you when you hold them!"
So....out the window turtle goes for the remainder of the ride.
Even Big Daddy is scared of turtle tee tee :)

The boys were so surprised when they got home! Harrison named him (or her) Mermaid...

It wasn't very shy which was a little unnerving.

It was headed toward me fast! I had to get out of the way! We put it in a little blue crate with some celery for about 20 minutes while we went inside...when we came back out it was gone! We can't explain it but I'm glad :)

Tonight will be a little easier...

...knowing that I only have 3 days left of work! My maternity leave starts this week. I found out last week that this strange pain/ache in my abdomen is not just a baby it is my gallbladder. I had no idea what a gallbladder did or where it is located but I am now the expert, hoping it goes back to normal after baby comes and I don't have to get it removed. I am pretty sure God intended that to be there for a reason. This has been an exciting week, my friend Heather had her twin baby boys at 35 weeks, just like I did! They are the CUTEST little babies. They are in the NICU but doing very well! I can't wait to watch them grow, congrats to The Stockett's!! We went to Mitchell Farm's on Saturday for their Easter Egg Patch. It was a beautiful day, the boys, Harrison, Hudson and Liam had a great time! WARNING: BOYS WITH VERY SHORT HAIRCUTS IN PICS AHEAD! We won't be getting a haircut for another year!!

Hudson on the tire swing

While on our way to Hattiesburg this Friday (the boys and I), Hudson said, "Hey Mommy I think I can spell my name!" and began, "H-U-D-S-O-N!" OMG! I about went off the road turning around to gasp and holler and yell "Great job!" wow, that came out of nowhere! I am so proud of my little speller, he is now trying to learn Harrison's name.

Well-Baby Bear Clinic

I haven't been very good and taking pictures these past two weeks. I'm getting bigger (huge according to recent snapshots I have seen...ugh, those have been omitted from blog options) and more forgetful it seems. This past weekend we were surrounded by family and beautiful weather both days, it was great. Saturday, my brother and his family from Mobile drove up to boil crawfish, both sides of our families came for that, it was actually so nice and relaxing. Joel burned his toes with boiling water through his tennis shoes :( The next day Joel's brother and dad's families came up to eat. They brought the kids Easter happy's.

This quilt was made for Saylor by Nana Pierce, it is so pretty and is such a keepsake.

Mornings have been like pulling teeth with getting myself ready and two sleepy head 3 year olds. Today after wrestling and arguing over who gets dressed first, or who can dress themselves first or who has to get out of the bed first, I told them to go find their shoes by the kitchen. I heard cackling laughing and doors slamming and dreaded the walk to the kitchen to see what was going on. They had "accidentally" spilled (dumped) the box of Nesquick powdered chocolate on the kitchen floor, on their clothes, faces, hair and was pushing it around with the broom. We were already late and I just wanted to say forget it and raise my white flag. BUT they had a field trip to the hospital to the Well-Baby Clinic for baby dolls and stuffed animals and I didn't want them to miss it. SO (my mom will shake here head at this point) I didn't even wipe them off or change them I just sent them to the car. I swept the chocolate into a pile and left. I was in tears of guilt and stress but by lunch I could crack a little (tiny) smile about it.
Nurse Harrison with his baby named Spider-Man, he had a hospital bracelet on and came with all of his stats, weight, blood pressure, height etc.

Nurse Hudson with Thomas the Easter Bunny, they had so much fun taking care of their babies and I think it was good for them to see that you can go to the doctor and not get hurt :)

Good thing you can't see their dirty shirts up close ;)
